Alleppey Houseboat Honeymoon Package: What to Look For

A honeymoon houseboat is one of Kerala's most romantic experiences. Here's what makes a good honeymoon package and how to arrange the perfect couple's cruise.

Start with a Private Boat

The foundation of any honeymoon package is a 1 bedroom private houseboat — the whole boat to just the two of you, with a private deck and river views. See our honeymoon houseboat page.

What a Good Honeymoon Package Includes

• Flower bed decoration in the AC bedroom
• A candlelight dinner on the private deck
• A cake and/or welcome treat
• All meals cooked fresh onboard
• The sunset-to-sunrise cruise experience

See full ideas in our decoration ideas guide.

How to Arrange It

Request the romantic add-ons when you book so the crew can prepare them in advance. Some touches may carry a small charge — confirm what's included and any extras up front. Compare base rates on the prices page.

Best Time for a Honeymoon

November-February offers the most comfortable, romantic weather; the monsoon is moody and atmospheric with better value. See monsoon vs winter.

Make It a Full Honeymoon Trip

Pair the houseboat with the Munnar hills for a classic Kerala honeymoon — see our Kerala honeymoon itinerary and couples guide.
